According to the solar radiation tables of PV Watts, the longer days of April generate fewer kilowatt hours of energy than the shorter days of March, so perhaps there is something to that old saying, “April showers bring May flowers”, after all.

Well, the Deger tracking problem is solved. They came by last Friday (oops, forgot to blog about it) and replaced the malfunctioning parts. The problems had lasted a couple months, and the one array was tabled-topped for almost two weeks.

March Sould Have Been a Great Month for Generating Solar Power

Having the panels functioning at less than full capacity in March is quite a hit, because March is supposed to be the fourth highest generating month, after July, June and May. Hopefully I will be able soon to report that we are back up and functioning at 100 percent and generating the expected number of kilowatt hours.
